Course Description

Situated less than three miles from the M56, the highly accessible Runcorn Golf Club was established as a nine-hole course in 1909 before being extended to its current 18-hole form in 1977.

The parkland course is renowned for its natural surroundings including water hazards running throughout and the superb tree-lined fairways defining each hole.

The course measures more than 6,000 yards and is a fair and enjoyable test for any level of golfer, very easy to walk with serene views over the Mersey and Weaver Valleys.

In fact, many people who have had the pleasure of playing at Runcorn often comment that the course "belies its length".

Highlights include the 547-yard par-5 seventh, which can be reached in two but only by the most powerful of ball-strikers, while the tenth is the toughest on the course and has out of bounds all the way down the right-hand side for the entire hole.

The 17th, meanwhile, is one of the longest par-4s in the county. Measuring 447 yards from the yellows, the hole requires a long drive to get over a ditch that crosses the fairway 240 yards from the tee. Once there, a tricky uphill approach awaits.

Experienced professional, first-class caterers and the club's administration team ensure a warm welcome to Runcorn.
