Course Description

On a quiet bend of the tranquil Helford River nestles the award-winning four-star Budock Vean Hotel. Set in 65 acres of woodland, the Budock Vean is a sanctuary for rest and relaxation. With an AA Rosette restaurant renowned for amazing food, relaxing treatments in the Natural Health Spa, luxury self catering holiday homes, tennis courts, kayaking and boat trips along the river, you can be as active or as relaxed as you wish. But, as well as the fantastic facilities listed above, Budock Vean is also highly regarded for its fantastic nine-hole golf course, which which features 18 tees. Originally designed by five-time Open champion James Braid, the course is set in mature parkland with the first tee a few paces from the hotel's golf bag room. The seventh on this interesting course was, until recently, the longest par-5 in the county measuring some 572 yards. The ninth, meanwhile, called 'The Flower Bowl', is widely regarded is one of the finest short holes in Cornwall. Budock Vean have just launched an interactive 360 degree aerial tour of the golf course, complete with stats on each hole and the best way to play it.
