Course Description

Builth Wells is a stunningly beautiful 18-hole parkland golf course in the picturesque mid Wales countryside and is just a short drive from the historic market town of the same name.

Extended to 18 holes in 1986, the club has, and continues to, play host to numerous Golf Union of Wales events, including qualifying for the Junior Wales Open and more recently the Welsh Ladies' Team Championships, where feedback expressed that it was one of the most successful stagings of the event in its long history.

The course is unique in that there are no par-5s for men - with 12 par-4s and six par-3s. Of those, the 344-yard tenth hole is arguably the signature hole, twice crossing the river with players struggling to decide whether to launch driver off the tee or take a more conservative approach.

The course measures 5,420 yards, but don't expect for one minute that it poses an easy test. With the course's natural characteristics of woodland, ponds and the River Chewfri featuring as a hazard on many holes, being able to play to your handicap is very much an achievement.

Builth Wells Golf Club offers a very warm welcome to visiting golfers and very competitive society packages. The clubhouse is an extended 15th century Welsh long house with the perfect relaxing atmosphere to chill out after your round.
