Although not overly long, the course at Piltdown Golf Club presents a considerable test due to its narrow fairways, small greens and an abundance of heather and gorse.
Constructed in 1904 on Piltdown Common, the course was subject to a thorough survey by European Golf Design, which concluded, “It is comfortable, it is familiar and it is really rather good”.
Visitors are always most welcome to come and test this assessment and never leave disappointed.
Adding much to the venue as a whole is the listed clubhouse building, a unique place that is proudly utilised by members.
Over the years, major improvements have been carried out and, despite the rustic nature of the exterior, inside is a modern facility, suitable for hosting even the most extensive society.
Adding to what is bound to be a positive experience are the club’s catering staff. Having built a good reputation for providing a quality service to all visitors, the caterers are on-hand to serve up a fine selection of food and drink.
