Following a traditional ‘nine out, nine back’ layout, the links at Sandilands Golf Club is a classic coastal course.
Measuring 6,021 yards from the white tees and around 5,700 from the yellow, accuracy rather than power is key.
The links topography and a typically dry micro-climate means it is a course that is playable year-round, never having to switch from the grass tees and summer greens that are renowned for their excellent condition.
An easy-walking course with only subtle undulations, Sandilands can be enjoyed by players of all ages and levels of ability. The challenge lies in the strategically-placed bunkers and fairways, which taper in at landing areas, while the par-3s will test the accuracy of a golfer’s approach play.
Firm, though receptive, the greens will hold a well struck pitch from the fairway, while the borrows of the green require a deft touch to navigate.
In addition, a fantastic panorama of the adjacent beach and seascape is a constant companion during a round at Sandilands.
