Course Description

Set in the grounds of the 11th century Beauchief Abbey, the picturesque parkland golf course is situated in the south-west of Sheffield with breathtaking views to the hills of the Peak District.

A number of holes on the tree-lined par-67 layout cross a stream which drains through the course and one par-3 crosses a pond.

In terms of its format, the course is very much an ‘out-and-back’, with the tenth tee almost at the furthest point from the clubhouse, meaning nine-hole or other part-course rounds aren’t possible.

At 5,746 yards, Beauchief is not considered to be a difficult course because of its length, but many players do find it hard to play to their handicap because some of the par-3s are demanding, several par-4s are testing and, for men, there is only one par-5. The key is to be accurate with approach shots and, whilst there aren't many bunkers, they are well-positioned.

There is a welcoming clubhouse where you can relax before or after your game with a bar and catering facilities and professional golf shop allowing for the hiring of equipment.
