Course Description

Located in High Hazels park, the 18-hole Tinsley Park is a par-70 parkland course that is situated in lovely surroundings with many hills and slopes to negotiate.

Measuring a modest 5,746 yards, the course still provides a challenge – even for the longest of hitters – which is why it has become one of the most popular courses to play in and around Sheffield.

It’s so impressive, in fact, that it is regarded by many as one of the best municipal courses in the country.

It begins with a testing par-4, where a good drive to the top of the hill leaves a medium iron second to one of the largest greens you will play. Judgment of distance from there is essential to avoid a dreaded three-putt.

The par-5 third plays as the toughest on the course, with a premium on accuracy as it’s very tight. At 494 yards, the green is reachable in two for the longer hitters but a five can easily be turned into a seven if you’re not careful.

Afterwards, be sure to visit the friendly clubhouse which has bar and catering facilities and is a great place to unwind after your game.
