Course Description

Located on the edge of England’s first ever Garden City, the course is set in beautiful undulating countryside.

A true mature parkland course, well renowned for its firm fast greens and tight tree lined fairways, Letchworth Golf Club is amongst the best the county has to offer. It is a fair test for golfers of all abilities that tests accuracy as well as length and fully justifies a slope rating of 133. The Club hosted the Hertfordshire County Championships in 2020 to great acclaim.

A classic two-tee start is normally available with the first and tenth tees just a short walk from the clubhouse and this allows all groups to play at an optimum pace. The course was extended in 2003 to its present form and length, and an ongoing improvement programme continues to strike the right balance between traditional and modern golf architecture.

The great variety of mature trees forms the perfect backdrop to the course and complements the beautiful greenery of the site. The course is kept in excellent condition throughout the year thanks to a dedicated team of greenkeepers , and a visiting golfer’s experience is further complemented by hosting staff.
