Course Description

Collingtree Park is an exceptional par-72 parkland layout and, once you’ve played a round there for the first time, you’re bound to be dying to go back.

The East Midlands venue was former Open champion Johnny Miller’s first ‘signature’ course in the British Isles, opening in 1990 after 275 acres of uninspiring meadowland was transformed into the golf course it is today.

Within years, Collingtree Park’s prestige was recognised. The British Masters was hosted there in 1995 and 1996, while European Tour Qualifying School First Stage will return in 2016 after a successful inaugural staging.

The layout can be stretched to almost 7,000 yards from the back tees, but from the forward tees the course is very playable and most enjoyable for the average golfer – providing that numerous water hazards are avoided! The par-4 13th is a tough nut to crack with bunkers on the right-hand side of the fairway nearly always coming into play, while the long par-5 18th is worthy of the excellent value green fee alone, finishing on an island green to give a touch of TPC Sawgrass in the Midlands.

After your round, visit the highly-acclaimed Greens Restaurant & Bar, which has not only become a well-renowned name but has also evolved with the times and is looking to adjust to the demand that comes with being such an impressive restaurant.
