Course Description

Enjoy a warm welcome when you visit the oldest golf club in Somerset established in 1882, the course is set against the rugged backdrop of the Brendon Hills, with beautiful sea views all year round .

The 18 hole, 6,264 yard, par 72 course displays the best characteristics of a Links course along with a few Parkland features along the way. Societies continue to return year after year as they are guaranteed golf 365 days a year along with top quality greens, no temporaries are ever used.

Buggy hire is available all year round without the buggy paths that sometimes mean you walk more than you drive at other courses! You can enjoy the facilities of the clubhouse with a variety of options to suit all visiting societies, we have a Pro Shop which has been described as an Aladdin’s cave where you will find golf equipment, clothing to suit every level of player and our Pro’s Ian Read, John Bickerton, a three time European Tour Winner, and Jordan Arnold are there to offer the best services to suit your day.

We also have a chipping green with 2 bunkers, a putting green, 2 nets to warm up in before you play, golf simulator which can be hired and a newly rebuilt practice ground.

Once played you will definitely be back to see if you can tame the back nine which is usually played into the prevailing wind. We look forward to seeing you soon.
