The Glen celebrated its centenary in 2006 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
As well as its stunning new clubhouse, the course has been continually improved with new tees, greens and bunkers.
All of this has been done very sympathetically without losing the challenge of the original Ben Sayers and James Braid design.
Its breathtaking clifftop location provides many spectacular holes offering views of the Firth of Forth and its islands, including the Bass Rock - the world renowned bird sanctuary.
Of the many splendid holes at The Glen, according to Ryder Cup player Ronan Rafferty, ‘few holes in Scotland can match the 13th, the Sea Hole’ – one of the most famous par-3s in the home of golf.
The hole plays partially blind over a sand dune to a green surrounded on three sides by the sea and the wind will determine whether you play a 9-iron or a 3-wood!
The Glen is playable all year round and, according to the US PGA, provides ‘the genuine Scottish golf experience’ for visitors.
It welcomes visitors seven days a week and specialises in catering for visiting societies.
Discounted rates are offered for societies of eight or more golfers, while tailor-made packages can also be arranged. Call today to find out more.
