Course Description
The Hirsel Golf Club is in the Scottish Borders town of Coldstream, birthplace in 1650 of the world-famous Coldstream Guards regiment. The course forms part of the Hirsel Estate, the ancestral home of Lord David Douglas-Home, son of former Prime Minister Sir Alec Douglas-Home.
The Hirsel Golf Club is the perfect example of a traditional parkland course. Founded over 70 years ago, its 18 holes cover 6,024 yards. The course is probably most famous for its picturesque short 10th hole. At only 98 yards, it may seem an easy challenge, but over water and surrounded by fi ve bunkers, it may prove a tougher challenge than the card suggests.
The River Leet meanders through the course creating a hazard at a handful of holes, especially the 7th Hole - The Kingfi sher. Relax before or after your round in our Clubhouse. It is open to members and non-members seven days a week for drinks, snacks or full meals. From our Balcony, you can enjoy watching golfers tee off from the 1st or returning onto the 18th green.
