Course Description

Situated in the upper Swansea Valley overlooking the small town of Pontardawe, this impeccably manicured, picturesque golf course offers a unique location for playing golf set 600 feet above sea level.

The course has a few gentle inclines, but the walk is well worth the effort as the golfer is treated to spectacular panoramic views.

To the north are the beautiful Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountain and to the south, the Swansea Valley, Swansea Bay, Mumbles Head and Bristol Channel.

All of these magnificent views can be captured from the course’s signature hole – the 16th. Known locally as ‘The Pulpit’, from the elevated tee box you look down to see the green 150ft below you.

Pontardawe Golf Club prides itself as being the friendliest and most sociable club in the area. Facilities include the services of the golf professional, golf shop, practice range, club, trolley and buggy hire.

You will be well looked after in the comfort of the clubhouse by the steward and stewardess, with a range of fine home-cooked food, along with a large selections of beers, wines and spirits to enjoy post-round.
