Course Description

Very few golf clubs in Scotland require a ferry ride to get there, but that's part of the charm if you head to the stunning Isle of Arran to play at Brodick Golf Club. It's all part of the unique experience.

Just under an hour from the mainland, and only two hours from the centre of Glasgow, the course is located on the east side of the island and is the first golf course you come to when you step off the ferry.

One of seven golf courses on Arran, the 18 holes at Brodick are fairly flat, a mix of parkland and links, with several holes running along the beach.

At under 5,000 yards, the well maintained course is short enough for the average golfer to enjoy, but still asks questions of the low handicap player. With a generous number of par-3s, two of which are played across the waters of the Rosaburn, a good score will require accurate shot making rather than long hitting.

The fifth hole, named Ben Nuis after the mountain which dominates the view from the tee, is a well designed dogleg par-5, while the 18th is a long par-3, played across the Cloy burn to an elevated green.

With spectacular scenery in every direction, and a friendly welcome guaranteed in the licensed clubhouse, an outing to Brodick will remind you of the time when golf was fun.
