Course Description

Troon Links is a collection of three fantastic courses: Darley, Lochgreen and Fullarton. These three courses, alongside Royal Troon, Portland and Barrassie Links, help to make the town of Troon a true golfing hotbed.

Darley is a well-known traditional links course offering the truest of challenges to even the most confident of golfers. It is regarded as one of Scotland’s toughest courses on a wet and windy day as the course features difficult fairways and numerous hazards. You have to play well to get a good score around here.

Lochgreen is more of a mix between links and parkland. The famous stretch – known as the ‘Dovecot Section’ – is parkland in nature, but the rest of the course is mainly links.

It is a par-74 and is comfortably the longest of the three courses, while it was also the venue where Jack Nicklaus qualified for his first ever Open Championship back in 1962.

Fullarton is much shorter, measuring a fraction less than 5,000 yards. With eight par-3s and only one hole over 400 yards, it is the perfect place for beginners looking to make their way in the golfing world.
