Course Description

Originally founded in 1923 but relocated to its current site in 1971, this 27-hole parkland course is famous for being the first in the UK to be designed by world-renowned architect Robert Trent-Jones Sr.

Since opening, it has played host to the likes of Sir Nick Faldo, Greg Norman and Seve Ballesteros when it was a venue on the PGA European Tour, and now hosts the Clipper Logistics Players Championship on the PGA EuroPro Tour. Described by Peter Alliss as a ‘larger than life golfing experience’, Moor Allerton’s three loops of nine, named the Lakes, Blackmoor and High are all of a quality that ensures whatever 18 holes are played they can accommodate the scratch golfer or the beginner.

The big, contoured greens throughout the 27 holes make it a real test of a player’s putting skills and every hole has something different, whether it’s a stream to avoid or an elevated green protected by plenty of bunkers.

With a layout that blends in beautifully with the Yorkshire landscape, it’s tough to get bored. Staff also have years of experience in arranging memorable golf days and are always willing to help find a package that suits you the best.
