Course Description

First opened in 1921, The Shipley Golf Club was designed by renowned golf course architect Dr Alister MacKenzie and is tucked away in a beautiful mature wooded valley.

Renowned as one of the best courses in the Yorkshire area, it is a regular venue for Yorkshire County and Bradford Union fixtures. It is also the home of the Bradford & District Union of Golf Clubs. Skill and accuracy are examined in equal measure on this course.

Unusually, The Shipley has six par-3s on its layout, one of which is the course's signature hole, the seventh.

Shipley is a relatively flat easy walking course but we do also have five buggies to hire out. New for 2018 is the practice range, which is ideal for warming up on your visit with range ball tokens available from the pro shop.

As well as the par-3s, there are seven par-4s and five fair par-5s.

Away from the course, the club boasts a wide range of facilities that you can make the most of, including a bar, a lounge and a fully stocked pro shop.

A recent visitor to Shipley commented: "The club refurbishment is magnificent with five-star comfort; the course was impeccably presented and a joy to play; and your staff a pleasure to do business with. I will have no hesitation in recommending your club to others."
