Course Description

Designed by Willie and Laurie Auchterlione in 1895, and later perfected by the legendary James Braid, Milngavie Golf Club is generally considered by many to be one of, if not the finest golf courses in the region.

The club believes that they can guarantee a memorable golfing experience to their members all year round and to their many visitors from across Scotland and beyond. It is easily accessible as it is only 15 minutes from the West End of Glasgow and is situated on the edge of Mugdock Country Park and the West Highland Way, naturally offering stunning views over Glasgow and the Campsie Fells.

As for the course itself, Milngavie offers five different tee options, ranging from Blue for beginners and younger members to Black, resulting in the course increasingly hosting scratch competition play. Players of the course regularly comment on the unique location of the course and the tranquillity only enhances the experience of playing this testing but popular layout. The course is perfectly presented all year round, combined with some of the best greens around, making Milngavie a real hidden gem of Scotland.
