Course Description

Designed by Willie and Laurie Auchterlione in 1895, and later perfected by the legendary James Braid, Milngavie Golf Club is generally considered by many to be the finest golf course in the region.

Golf Monthly in 2018 describes Milngavie as "a proper test of golf with the added benefit of some terrific views over Glasgow, the Pentland Hills and the Campsie Fells...a proper test of golf...scenic and very entertaining golf in a lovely oasis away from the city"

The club It is easily accessible as it is only 15 minutes from the West End of Glasgow (30 minutes from Glasgow Airport) and is situated on the edge of Mugdock Country Park and the West Highland Way.

As for the course itself, Milngavie offers five different tee options, ranging from Blue for beginners and younger players, to Black, which at 6,107yds provides a very strong challenge for the low handicap player. Players of the course regularly comment on the unique location of the course, and the tranquillity only enhances the experience of playing this testing but popular layout.

The course is beautifully presented all year round, and the greens are among the best in the region.
