Course Description

Nestled in the north-east corner of the seaside town of Torquay is the wonderful Torquay Golf Club.

Founded in 1909 , the course has seen some signifi cant changes in the last few years with the introduction of a new practice range, and new short game practice facilities. The course boasts a challenging yet rewarding test of golf in a truly unique surrounding. It was here that Sir Nick Faldo picked up the first of many winners’ cheques – some fine inspiration for any level of golfer who steps foot on the course.

Boasting extensive views of the course from Lyme Bay in the east, to the rugged tors of Dartmoor in the west, Torquay really is a sight to behold. The 430-yard par-4 third hole is certainly worthy of its No.1 rating on the stroke index.

The newly refurbished restaurant and bar area offers a comfortable place to enjoy a relaxing drink, or dine out with an extensive daily menu. The club is highly rated and offers high quality service with a fine selection of meals and drinks available. The terrace offers a great position to sit and watch over the 1st and 18th fairways.
