Course Description

Situated near Edinburgh, and within the boundaries of the city, Craigmillar Park is a parkland course that offers fantastic views across the city, down to East Lothian and across the Firth of Forth.

The club was founded in 1895 and moved to its current location in 1925, where the layout was designed by renowned British golf course architect James Braid. It prides itself on the presentation of the course, the quality of its greens and the warmth of the welcome in the clubhouse.

The course is 5,825 yards long and plays host to the prestigious 72-hole Craigmillar Park Open in early April each year. Former winners include Nick Faldo, former British Amateur champion Craig Watson and professional golfer Lloyd Saltman.

A par 70 for men and a par 72 for ladies, Craigmillar Park is both a fair and enjoyable test for golfers of all levels, no matter how long you have been playing the game.

It boasts a number of excellent holes, not least the par-3 15th.

Named 'The Dams', your tee shot must carry a burn that sits at the front of the green before you tackle the slopes and undulations in what won't be an easy two-putt.

Follow in Faldo's footsteps and enjoy a round here.
